Our core philosophy is that measurement starts at the beginning of the marketing idea. Fundamentally, a sound marketing initiative will create a continuum of consumer interactions in which each interaction creates unique and revealing sets of data about consumers. When done well, each component of the consumer experience captures valuable information about the brand as well as customers’ criteria for brand consideration, trial, purchase, and advocacy. Best-in-practice campaigns also capture data on the influence of channel and partner programs on customer behavior, and they can identify the role of third parties in building — or blocking — loyalty and advocacy among brand consumers.
